Hey guys,
Just picked up my old man's '93 TR Magna and need to put some 6" Splits in the front doors. I'de really like to make up some new pods but I just don't have the time these days.
Is/was there any model with the same shaped trims as the 93" TR with 6" speaker holes instead of the map holders like in mine? Or am I dreaming?
If not, does anyone have any other ideas on how to get 6"ers into the doors?
Thanks guys,
Chris

ive done it (door pods) to mine, with 6" splits and the hardest part is fitting the grill without the plastic backing to clear the speaker

mine are screwed straight into the trims, they dont look too bad and no problems running them.. although, i do have a bit of an issue with the winder handles rattling a little, but whatever

When just screwing straight into the door trim, how'd you line up the whole that you cut in the door card and the cut-out in the metal door frame?

Yep...or you can get some aftermarket angled door pods to move the sound towards the ear...then you wouldnt really need to worry about where the magnat would go.
i was lucky..where i cut.....my magnet was right next to the metal...just snuck the bastard in....
