As the title says will a 3.5 crank fit into a 3.0 block? I know the 3.0 block is physically shorter and of course the 3.5 has a longer stroke so will the crank out of a 3.5 hit any part of the 3.0 block when it is rotating? Also is the rod length the same between the 2 engines? If a 3.5 crank will fit then you would probably have to use a shorter rod or get appropriate pistons with a taller pin height to use to keep the rod ratio as close to standard... Is there anyone who knows if this will work? I did the math and it will take the 3.0 out to 3.3 litres.

Anyone out there have an answer for this?

I'm thinking it may be a big task, as custom conrods would probably be needed otherwise the piston would be sticking outta the block at TDC.
