Seem to have some issues replacing the remote for my 1998 Xi Verada, its the black type with three small buttons, one red (locks doors) and two grey (unlock doors and boot release).

I am after a spare remote for my verada for my wife's set of keys and was told by the mitsubishi dealer that it'll cost me $198 for a new one!! Bugger that I thought! There has to be a cheaper way.

So I was wondering where I can get one from cheaper or can I reprogram a remote from a later model magna or verada to my verada??

The ones sold on ebay only seem to be for later models.

You can get them on eBay for $39.95 on eBay (brand new!) including postage. I'm pretty sure KH Verada's have this keyless entry remote as well (we have a KJ Verada and it has this one).

I'm pretty sure there are instructions in the manual as to how to program it in, if not take it to Mitsubishi and ask them to do it. That way atleast your not paying $198 for it.

**** sorry I thought you had a KH (i.e. 1998) but you must have an earlier '98. I know the KF has the old one, my bad. I'll have to check if this one will work though. If not I'll loot for the older one if I see one I'll post it.
