I have noticed that there have been a few Magnas round that have had a nice cannon on the end of their exhaust. recently i went on a spending spree and found a lot of good bargains. the problem is this i bought a Autothentica cannon and i went to get it put on but the guy told me it would be too low and i would get defected for that. i can solve that problem but he also told me that my stock rear muffler was the size of a 44 galon drum and that it would be to loud. i was wondering what has everyone else done to overcome this?

Nothing at all. Just old muffler cut off and new one welded on....

i overcame it by removing all mufflers. havent been defected yet, cops dont even take a second glance, and none have commented on it yet.

Man.. Tell him you want a resonator and that muffler.. You shouldn't get defected for it!

im in SA too. and nah never any cops ive been pulled over once, couple of brethos next to cops at lights etc and none ever notice.

if it is an exhaust shop that has a licence to do epa testing they wont do the work on your car is it makes it "defective"

Try another shop and they'll do it. Depending on the canon size it sitting too low shouldnt really be a problem. Most people have just cut their rear muffler off and wedled an extra bit of pipe for the canon. If its too loud for you just have a 2nd resonator (aka. hotdog) fitted to help quieten it all down.

there is no fine and no loss of demerit points!

basically all of what he told u was not true at all..

first of all u can have the cannon under ur rear bar no worries, personally i have a lil grove cut out so it sits inside my rear bar a lil more.

i have never been defected for my exhaust being to low .. and my car sits 55mm off the ground

and last he is kind of right bout the nice, if u went out and brought a cheap tiny muffler it will sound crap and be very loud and farty

The Cannon aint that small really. and thanks for clearing up the defect notice thing stonesour very much appreciated. i am hoping that it will look very cool while still giving me a nice note. i think i may give my rear bay a trim and maybe make myself a metal insert for a bit of effect and added heat sheilding. yeah mine is a bit like that YLD 35L and that is a nice flame paint job to. and where did you get your bodykit from it looks hot. WTCHME those are nice front bars do those come painted or do you have to get them painted? can anyone suggest a good place to get my cannon installed? I live in Mt Compass down by Victor Harbor so the furthest i would like to go is Adelaide. Thank You here are some pics of my cannon.

Have you tried Pit Stop in Victor? They're at the round about at the end of the ring road. That's where I got my exhaust done, altough I did get a Lukey, not a fan of cannons. They are very reasonably priced as well.

its just a cannon any zorst workshop should be able to do it for no more than 50 bucks its no biggie ... just do it where ever is closest to u

Thanks stonesour, i am gonna ring pit stop today one of my friends got their cannon put on there aswell, and he was pleased with his so that's what i'm gonna do. I will post some pics up when it get is put on.:cool:. also there are alot of people at my school who think i'm :nuts: CRAZY :nuts: for putting a connon on a magna. but i tell them to get lost.:belt:

just want to ask a question without opening a new thread. Also this has probably been asked a million times but I can't seem to find it.

SO, I have a full 2 1/2" redback exhaust system, i want to remove the resonator and replace it with a bit of piping (straight through). My queries are; How much louder would it be? Is there any problems I can encounter besides being too loud?

I just want to be able to keep the redback muffler without having to put a cannon on.

We removed the resonator from my gf's commodore and you get soooooooooo much droan it was ridiculous. I assume it would be similar with the magna. May actually sound better with a canon instead or even just a different resonator?
