Ok the TP has the following things done to it.

-Red rocker and timing chain covers
-New timing chain
-Balance shaft removal
-Grey interior swap (used to be brown)
-Sound system
-New filters

I plan to:

-Paint + body work + spoiler
-Some nice mags
-More interior work
-Automatic transaxle service
-Custom boot

I wish I could afford:

-Turbo
-Bonnet scoop
-Zorst
-Gas

Can you guys think of anything else that should be done to the car? Something performance enhancing would be nice...

Is all this a wish list or do you actually have the funds currently available?

Not currently, but I am doing things as I can afford them.

I can do the interior work my self, so that will be next, custom boot after that, then the paint work and body work.

Have you lowered it yet?

Gen1's with no bodykit (cause the bodykits made for em sucked), no rear wing, lowered, dark tine and 17's look dynamite.

Well I can't see any point in lowering it, if I put bigger tyres on it they rub on the body of the car, plus I think it looks fine the way it is... The car has Monroe GT something or other for the suspension, so it may have already been lowered.

The tint is a brilliant idea, I will have to wait for the paint to go on first, because I don't know what colour I want yet...

No wing! What! I want a wing!

i say get it handling good
replace all ur rubber suspenion bushes for polyurethane one's. it makes a huge differenc to how it handles. i just did it.
heres a link to fulcrum suspenion who deal with superpro poly bushes . email em or ring and they can order and fit it all.
http://www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au/

maybe buy the steering kit off ebay for $99 which is ur tie rod ends and lower ball joints.
theres also brake and wheel bearings kits aswell.
replace all ur brake fluid for dot 5 stuff or the bule racing stuff and then good pads and ur brake shall improve.
well thats all i can thnk of for now i know theres more but im in a rush.

I don't really like the look of any body kit, but something that made the car look a little more modern would be great...

so ur saying you don't like this. its a factory made challenger kit fitted by the dealer as an option. and im sure u could get it made or go custom.

Or just get one of an old car.

bit hard when that was the only magna fitted with one. was like a demo car i think
it had to be ordered from the factory by the dealer. so i guess tm terror is lucky for coming across it.
but with that said u could find an elante at the wreckers and pull the body kit off that.

I added bonnet nostrils to mine, made it look far more sportier, and tho i only have the elante lip, side skirts and atom rims with 1" low all round it does add to the nice flare style.

got some 17s being slapped on soon as i wear out my 15s, which wont be long if i keep slip sliding it thru the backstreets every morning.

If your auto box is that bad, i reckon get that serviced first, better to have a car that works well with no custom boot then one that blows up with a custom boot..

And definatly get it lowered, makes a TON of difference to the handling, would probably set you back $600ish for the springs and shocks and you will love it.

i reckon all the bodykits they came out with looked ok. why is it the 1st and 3rd gens got bodykits and the 2nd gens didn't! argh the pain!

nah serioulsy, get the auto done first, then do the interior (should only be $150ish with paints/materials) then suspension, then wheels...then boot...

astron boys car is awesome with those bonnet nostrils and the other things he's done to it... when i was over in sydney, i saw it

if you have a carby, wack on a weber 6cyl carby + a lumpy cam, and nothing will stop you...

if you have problems with carby + auto tps, i have a solution for it as i'm putting a weber on my automatic.

i'm going to do/have done balance shaft removal, nitrous methanol/water injection, weber carby, lumpy cam, head work (ported, polished and possibly shaved a few thou), and planning on making a automatic shift kit to make all gear changes firm.

as for interior mods, i'm in the process of making climate control for my car using PIC 16F877a microcontrollers and a lcd screen. the software is being written when i get time to do it.

Thanks, :D your black and dark grey 2-tone looks mad, just polish it yeah! :P

hehe, getting the PIC staffie from work? lol

lower ure car, if i wasnt getting 17" wheels, id get low pro 15s and drop the magna another inch all round. mine hugs the road with the sway bar, adjustable shocks and low kings i have.

Buying a commodore? I have experienced all generations of commodore (currently own 3 as you well know).

They will go harder than a magna but in no way will you ever be as comfortable as in a magna. Exec seats are almost on par with calais seats and they only get better from there.

Suspension is better in magnas too.

The ride is better in the magna.

Remember that.

Also if magnas were RWD i would get all 3 of my commodores set on fire and then crushed into little cubes.

EDIT: Not trying to deter you they are a hell of a lot of fun but remember what you will miss from your magna. I know i did.

Uhh mabye if it's running like crap with a crappy exaust....

And the power compaired to an astron is fun to, but I will be keeping the TP even if/when I get a commie again.

Okay, this is what I have decided... (or am thinking)

Finish the interior work
GT kit
Move on up to power windows and central locking
Some neat rims
Spoiler + Nostrils
Paint it white or black

Now I currently have an EFI, however I might be purchasing a Carby wagon, would it be worth grabbing the carby set up, doing an EFI - Carby conversion, then putting this webber carby on and going for a lumpy cam?

i seriously recommend a hot cam... i got mine in today...

slight power/tourque increase overall across the board...

little bit more get up and go from the line too... helps when chewing up tyres, even if it's automatic.

as someone that has had there cam done, seriously, just get a 2nd cam from a wreck, cost u like 50$, send it to be regrind, and u can get better specs than what crow offer. also Way cheaper. in total my cam cost me 170$, that was buy cam, send, regrind, send back.

my 2c

but yeah, bill is right, cams do help alot, so long as u have something else to make it function more efficiently.
