Guys, do any of you know if the woodgrain in the Sigma 3.0 is different to the Verada woodgrain?
Is it lighter in colour than the verada?
Because i'm thinking of buying the digital climate control and putting it in the verada along with the digital clock.
Would this work out do you think?
Please help! :D

my auto teacher was saying something to me bout this, that whenn doing the conversion in the early falcons EA etc you had to run vacuum lines?
so you might wanna research how to do this so you dont get everything then go...so where the f**k does this go......

Waiting for it to arrive from England. Should be here next week then we'll see.
I reckon if i pull it off and it ends up plug and play, i'll be one happy man :D
Hopefully the woodgrain matches mine too.
Should be alright.
Extremely hard to get a hold of the digital climate control and clock
I'm also waiting on the Sigma rear garnish as well. Can't wait!
I'm lucky I found someone overseas selling off everything from his Sigma! (pictured in one of the attachments)
It's cost me £50 for the goodies all together and £75 for the shipping. Total: $316.00AUD
But I saw it as a one off oppurtunity.
Hope it fits. If it doesn't, i'll have to file or cut some of the woodgrain section which fits the double-din unit to be able to slip it in because by the looks of the pics, the digital air con section looks a bit larger than the standard analogue climate control
Fingers crossed it'll fit in!

It looks as though it should fit in cos of the black surrond of the verada controls. I would be surprised if it isnt just plug n play, cos as far as I can tell the dials are just controls (i took mine out for a bit of fun....long story short, it isnt fun) without any real moving parts, just adjustable resistors(wateva) connected to some dials.
EDIT: I'm actually excited for you

Hahahahaha thanks man lol
I'll keep you guys updated and take pics once I recieve the package.
I'm that excited that i'd take a day off work if i knew which day it was coming in.
If it goes well with my installation, I think you should try a japanese spare parts place. Ring around ask them for the digital climate control/clock from a 1995 - 1995 Diamante. See how it goes! Hopefully you can get your hands on one cheaper than me! Hehe
You reckon the analogue clock looks better or a digital one? The analogue clock has this class about it. I think the digital clock will make it look too non original. What do you think?
Some have digital climate control with the analogue clock still in place.
Hmm

Its a pretty old school looking LCD style (clock radio style) clock, i'd prolly go for the digital clock, kinda unique in australian magnas/veradas.

Yeah that's true it looks kinda 90's hehe
Wonder if anyone on the forums actually has a digital clock or digital climate control already?

Did you get the unit like the one in the 1st pic or the 2nd pic of the digital control. cos the second one sits at a different height than the first one cos it has the big screen thingo below it.

This is from the car being dismantled. It's the one being sent to me. Looks like it'll fit?
I noticed the newly updated sigma/diamante's with the sat nav, the climate control is pushed up more and there is no drink holder sections.
Never knew they had sat nav in 1996!

I plan on being second, certainly aint gonna go spending that sort of bucks if theres only a chance it mite work. Really your a pioneer dimi. Maybe you should have got the guy to send pics of what was behind it to be sure if it would hook up or not.

 Where were you when I was enquiring about the parts!
Hehe I guess, if it doesn't plug in straight away, I'll have to get an auto elec to fit it.
And if it has to come to that, i'll post the total expenses and let the other members see if it is worth it :D
We should know soon

Check this out!
It shows the "Outside Temp" on the display.
Any idea how this will work?
And on the buttons below, next to hazard, demister etc. the button in our Verada's, which is labelled half mast for the antenna, is replaced by a fog lights switch in the Sigma (far left, last button)
I have a few options here. I can either take off the fog lamp button and put my half mast one on. Or I can wire up the fog lamp button and use that as a switch to activate the fog lamps.
Half mast is completely useless except for 96.1.
But my main concern is the "Outside Temp" display.
I don't know how on earth I'm going to get that working, or how it works too

It might use the "solar thingy " on top of the console.
If only UK had the same love for these cars as we do, it would have made all this so much easier.

Oh yeah! The little solar things on the ceiling and the front.
Damn! Hope so.
Yeah I know aye.
They just don't understand how lucky they are over there haha
If only we knew a wrecker here that had a few of these Sigma's lying around. I think we'd be taking a day off for sure just to pick at them lol

I just read on another forum (www.diamanteowners.com) that the control UNIT is behind the control PANEL (the dials/buttons) and the 2 are seperate, so you may be in luck with an easy switch.

Woohoo! Hope so :D
Fingers crossed it'll be an easy swap over then.
Cheers for the info there

Apparently if you press the AC button (snow flake button) you can scroll through Eco mode or full AC
Hope this is the case.
If not then bye bye petrol in summer :(
