Finally got some pics of the new exhaust...
Pacemakers to factory cat, 2.5" to split, 2" to Redback glasspacks to dual chrome dump tips.
I have a movie of it, with some pretty good sound, but nowhere to host it.
Also added some tinted tail lights tonight. I think I'm done modding for a little while, or at least until I can save a little more cash.
cheers,

Looking into something similar. What'd ya pay? (If you don't mind me asking). Were there any issues about keeping stock cat? I've heard differing opinions about stock/hi-flow needs.
Would be keen to hear it too

The extractors were $700, the custom setup was $900 (including $200 for the twin tips), so $1600 all up.
The factory cat isn't too bad for flow. It's designed for a 2.5" straight through exhaust. I'm sure the only difference between the standard exhaust and the vr-x or ralliart exhaust is the muffler, not the cat.
Would be keen to hear it too
Yeah, I have to grab the audio off the video that I have. Should be able to post it tomorrow. I think it sounds the goods, but I'll let you guys make up your own minds.

Thats hot... did the same thing a cuple of weeks ago and it is like a whole new car... crazy to think it but you hardly recognise that it is your beast that is making that insane noise that makes everyone look.... tail lights are next on my agenda too and probably the clear indicator lights too...
Ha ha ha finished modding for now... until the next thing you think of that you want!!!! LOL

A little so far... seat-of-my-pants dyno says it definitely pulls harder after about 3000 rpm, but I think it may have introduced the panel filter flat spot, so I might have to get in touch with Barry for his fuel rail kit. It sounds faster, if that's anything to go by. :)
I'm under the impression that the ECU will take a little while to take full advantage of the improved exhaust flow.

Yeah, that's them... I don't have any pics of the lights on the car yet. It was dark when I finished putting them on. They look shmik, especially on a black car. All I need now is para's, sunroof, strut brace, front and rear sway bars, upgrade brakes, coil overs, custom body kit, turbos...
Then there's the interior...
Good work.. Welcome to Team Dualies..:P

Looks quality.
Any reason you got press bends where the exhaust splits instead of mandrel?

Actually, I think the whole system is press bent. Check out the attachment.

Yeah they are. Bit of a bummer.
But then again, it wont really make much difference unless you are planning some major upgrades to the engine..
Have you seen the price of mandrel bends? :doubt:
They are about $5 - $10 more per bend..

Its more to do with the labour involved. Press bend systems are generally only 2 or 3 pieces and only welded 2 or 3 times. A Mandrel bent exhaust is welded two times per bend on top of everything else.
You wouldn't believe it, but mandrel bend exhausts sound better.

Just re: mandrel bends... Was down my local exhaust place this morning, guy there was saying it costs them (they don't have a mandrel bender, only press) $110 for 1, 90 degree mandrel bend.
