Hey guys..

Ive got 14 days left of New Car Warranty on the Ralliart and was thinking about getting it checked over by work (end of warranty check-over) just to make sure nothing is going to need attention the day after it finishes..

One thing i have noticed just this week is that there is a sqeak coming from the rear passenger side suspension.. not sure if this is happening all the time but i can definatley hear it backing out of driveways and going over speed humps..

Is there any known problems with the ralliart suspension or anything that could be causing this? Also anything in general? (Already had the rear screen, front screen seals, plastic door panel cladding on drivers door, spoiler brake light and ralliart badge replaced - is there anything else that people have had done?)

I actually thought the other week that the car has a bit of a viabration in it when driving over ~70kms/h and thought it may need an alignment (was only done 8,000kms ago) but now the rear passenger side suspension has started to squeak..

Anyone had any similar experiences? Will mention it to work on monday, but thought id try here aswell..

Cheers Guys,
Ben

Maybe get your struts looked at. Mine packed it in after about 70,000kms. Other than that, get a mechanic to give it a good going over.

when you say "packed it in" did they just die completley? squeak, rough ride etc?

im just about to clock up 40,000kms (which is bugger all..) therefore they shouldnt be anywhere near retiring yet..

They had a "knocking" noise coming from the 2 rear ones. (front ones are fine) I made a thread about it a while ago... the weird knocking noise. I'd definately get the rears looked at. Other than that, the engine is pretty bulletproof. Things like struts, suspension etc I'd be more worried about.

yeah, it seems to be constant, but you can only JUST hear it.. just dont wanna ignore it now and then when my warranty finishes it starts getting worse..

Can't remember the part number, but just ring your local Mitsubishi dealer and ask for a fuel sender. Shouldn't be more than $70. You can do it yourself... I payed a mechanic one hours labour ($65) to do it, tho it was probably a 20 minute job. You need to take out your back seat and get into the fuel tank.

just FYI.

Tim

PS. is there any trick to undoing the plug on the sender to get it out of the tank??? thats next w/e job

Getting the electrical plug off is easy. Getting the fuel line of is a prick. You need a special tool. Attempted mine on 2 or three occasions i gave up in the end so now i just put up with it...
