I was curious the other day about retro fitting foot lamp lights on the passenger side. I was fed up that my altera didn’t have any on the passenger side so I decided to put some in. I saw pre existing holes under the passenger side. So I went to the wreckers and grabbed the light for a couple of bucks (got it from 2nd gen verada, but 3rd gen alteras and verada have them to, all the same light but none in exec). I wired them to the foot lamp light on the driver side. Instead of the standard t10 light globes you can put normal globes if you like I decided to put in 6 blue led t10 globes that I had lying around this is the end result. The driver side has the white plastic cover the passenger side doesn’t, brighter without. The lights come on when the doors are open. Personally I think it looks better then neon’s. Just my opinion. The pics are pretty crappy taken from my phone

so are you saying the footwell lights from the 2nd gens fit into the 3rd gen magna? i've been lookin for these too!

yep 2nd gen footwell lamp light works. thats wat i used i couldnt find a 3rd gen altera r verada at wreckers so i used a 2nd gen verada

ive already done this with my TR SE (standard footwell lights) using both white and green leds at various times.
