Hey like the way youve done your screen in the dash. Did you make the housing for the screen?

mould is all custom made ... about 10 hours work to do plus painting total cost was about $9 i think

How do people go with the vision? I heard that the screen may appear black if the angle is too great.

mine has an LCD touchpanel display and the only time you cant see it is if the sun shines through the sunroof onto it..

put from every angle (that you can possibly sit in) you can see the screen fine..

ive only had mine since friday (3 days) and its been raining for 2 of them..

only today i noticed when the sun was out that it shone through the roof onto it..

i dont spose it would do much as it didnt shine on my old headunit (could see the display clear as day 99% of the time)

its more the climate control screen than i have problems with the sun shining on..

still need to put in the surround around the screen to excuse the slight gap.

Im not sure wether to go with a motorized screen that sits nice n snug back into the unit or a screen that is shown 24/7

screens are so overrated, had one, watched it maybe 10times in my life... although passengers always fked around with it... but then your faced with listening to a movie which your not watching.. which blows.

Even putting the GPS feed down there is too much of a pain to keep looking down and watching. Give me a projector mounted in the centre of the back seat, projecting onto the front windscreen anyday. lol

Got a better pic of mine today, i personally dont think it needs a surround or anything to fill the gap, looks ok as it is..

(someone i think asked for a better pic to see the gap around the unit:confused:)

Here's my in-dash unit. Cost me $300 delivered from e-bay and installed by me and a mate in less than 2 hours. I love it, should have bought one of these sooner.
