My poor old drivers electric window on my '99 TH sports has started to pack it in, when you wind window down all seems ok, maybe a little slow, but winding back up sounds kinda like something is scraping as the window comes up (basically sounds like electric window mechanisim is falling apart) - As of tonight, window will basically not wind down at all past about 20%

I have arranged to take to auto electrician in the morning (Also damn remote central locking and alarm won't work, and stock radio headunit thinks I am getting a mobile call through the mobile phone car kit all the time- which i no longer use!)

The auto electrician said that the mirror motor assembly is in two pieces, the motor and some other part - he mentioned the name but I can't remember, but he said he wasn't sure if I would be able to JUST buy the "other" part or be forced to buy motor with it, which i assume is hideously expensive :(

Has anyone had this problem / know if both parts are still available separately?

have you lubricated the edges of the glass with something
to make it run smoother in the groove
can you swap over a motor from the back door glass
time to visit a wrecker for a mirror
throw the radio head unit out the window

what do you use to do that. mine go up slowly but nothing wrong with mtoro for window
