Was thinking about upgrading the muffler to a Magnaflow dual outlet jobbie. I rang a couple of exhaust places in Adelaide that handle Magnaflow, and got two similar responses: don't do it. They both reckoned that the dual outlet 5x8 inch Magnaflow muffler drones like a complete b*tch! The second place I rang would order it for me, but won't fit it, saying he's had too many customer complaints following previous installs.

Soooo...I've done a search and notice a few people here have Magnaflow exhausts, so I was wondering what other peoples experience has been?

I have a magnaflow muff on my maggie, retain all the rest of the stock exhaust system, there is absolutely no noise when cruising. And when underload the sound is just a bit more noise then the standard VR/VRX muffler.

different style exhaust, but i have a magnaflow 6" cannon with 4" tip and it sounds perfect..
depends on what you want to do btu i woudn't rekomend anything else.
its all tucked up underneath the kit, people have to do a double take to figure out its a cannon..

Ive got MAGNAFLOW mufflers on both mine and mums car.

Mum has just a muffler change to a magnaflow muffler as said by someone else pretty quiet overall but still a very nice note overall.

My car has a 2.5" system with 1 magnaflow muffler and 1 resonator very very nice note and it's loud while not droning almost at all.

so ive had no probs at all with their products.

Wait, you can just stick a bigger/more pipes on the end of your current muffler?
