Just on the news tonight in QLD... An undercover 380 VRX S2 and a VZ exec collided with each other in Brisbane. The Commodore hit the 380 side on, on the drivers side (judging by the pictures of both cars) at what was probably in excess of 80km/h. The Channel 7 reporter called the car "a Mitsubishi Magna" But anyway, the driver and passenger of the 380 both lived, the driver is in intensive care, the passenger is stable.

Just saw the same thing; around the Samford area on the outer Brisbane suburbs (west).
Having known about a similiar incident to this in SA a few years ago (I know a senior SGT in SA ) my money is on that they were racing. Wouldn't be surprised to see a number of coppers discharged for this, particularly since one is in hospital with serious internal injuries.

Edit: Just browsed the link and looks like my memory is dodgy; I was sure the report said Samford...

Yea,I saw that also.Just to show how well known the 380 is with a lot of people:roll:
I think we need to do something about that, right?

I saw it on the news too - sounds mega dodgy.

Guess the 380 driver didn't check his blind spot before U turning. Or then again, the commo might've come up flying. I'm guessing the 380 u-turned from the outside lane too, since the turning circle isn't the best.

Did anyone esle find it ironic that the accident was reported to have happened during a "road safety blitz"

It was on all the big news stations in QLD. They said they were "pursuing an individual of interest" Which probably translates to racing each other and being drop kicks.

Sh*t Guys,

I had a Magna too.

It's now a 380 - Get over it.

it should have come out with another 20Kw, with more agressive styling, with AWD, with fold down seats, blah, blah, blah ....

How many times have I heard it.

It's a good car. Accept it.

Exactly. When people start buying it and realising the 380 is a good car people will stop bagging it and it will finally start having some well deserved recognition.

I must admit the 380 doesn't have that much exposure though, therefore alot of people do refer to it as a Magna. It kind of annoys me, but rather then people *****ing about it having should be called the Magna people will have to live with it and move on (and buy a 380 instead :D).

Or we could put a different spin on this and suggest that the VE Commo should also have an extra 20kW, be more differently styled than VZ, be AWD and have a proper split-fold rear seat facility blah, blah, blah.:blah:

It doesn't, so you should all accept it - it's a sh!t car...
