Looks good, if you could redo that hose in black it could look almost stock...
Look good......whats the size of the pink/red pipe? Did you have to lengthen the MAF wires?

the RED not pink tube lol is 3" thick waz a tight fit to get it there and no the wire waz just long enough.
How did you hold/secure the MAF and pod in place? cable ties?

u kno the stock setup in 2nd Gens aren't all that bad there is still quite alot of heat down there in the engine. the stock system goes around the battery towards the front so i would think there is more cold air there. Might be more restrictive but i had a pod in that position b4 with the sensor and my car got very very very hot.
Cut a hole in ur bonnet and stick the Air intake up there :D

A CAI did wonders on my TR, but i had a panel so it was properly enclosed at all times. While the stock intake does it's job, it could be better. Where it pulls the air from (directly behind the headlight) seems abit restrictive to me and opening that up abit more made it feel more responsive.

...its visable through front bumper and its just high enough that small puddles wont hurt it... ...wat u think?ScoTTy95SI, I think it's a great effort. I havn't seen it done b4 on a Magna with moving the MAF. Well done.
Two questions if I may...
1. Please let us now how the Pod goes in wet weather/rain. If you can see the pod through the bumper then it may also get wet?
2. The red tube. Is it bent because it needed to go around something/wires/etc. or was it just a bit too long? If just too long, then I'd suggest cutting it and giving the air a more direct path.
Good idea and good work mate.

Agreed.A hole in the bonnet (with a nice scoop) is an idea I like. Then add a short tube to an enclosed pod. But I struggle with what happens when it rains. Will the scoop take in too much water and soak the pod?
When we CAI the air from the front, the tube goes up so hopefully the water doesn't make it up and just flows back down. But if the tube goes downwards???

That's something i thought too but forgot to mention. I'd be getting a smaller pipe so that you can have a direct path.

There's not alot you can do, you can extend the intake down past the washer bottle (Very tight!) or do what i did and have a 2nd intake pipe coming from underneath the stock airbox (again VERY tight, a custom made box would work wonders here).
Move the fusebox to where the airbox used to be and viola! heaps of room. get an exhaust shop to mandrel bend you up a stainless peice of 3" that mimics the last bit of plastic (at the plenum) and goes straight at the radiator and then 90 deg down and extend your MAF wires to support. Weld on a bracket for support and whammo, Instant blingage.

this is why i wont bother to much effort for a gain of what??
If u wanna mess around with a 2nd Gen buy some supercheap spraypaint and go crazy on the interior
or
Invest in stopping the whole car shake when the subs are going off
