I sourced this pic from the Autotecnica site and i was thinking if this was applied to a magna instead if a piece $15 stuff from supercheap.
i have not much clue about this kinda stuff but i have been recently reading about all of your CAI's and spotted this in a magazine.
you never know it might be better than the hollow hose.

Either it's fan forced, and it will pump no where near enough to make any pressure or it's just a stupid thing that spins the air around, meaning worse performance because it will screw up your MAF.

ah yes i have read a tad about the spinning air stuff.
i completly forgot about the spinning air. thanks.
what if, in any case you were to use a piece of oval pipe/hose to reduce the swirling effect.

If you take the fan out it may be ok.

that fan would only restrict airflow imho

okay call me dumb - please dont im sensitive. lol
but what if a rig was made to increase air flow electronicly.
like a small air con unit that is hooked to a switch.
read on another forum that this was done to a nissan 240zx with good results down low and the fan could be turned off to free spin at cruising/highway speeds.
though seeing as the magnas are setup differently it has me thinking if it could be possible.
i will see if i can track down the link for you later, its been a while since i last found it.

i think putting some dry ice in your air box would be a better option :D

Dry ice is solid CO2, while it may be cold it sublimes and robs you of oxygen.

How about Oxygen injection?
Those things are a scam, the swirling air thing is a nice theroy, now if your swirling the bottle of water, yes the water will come out quicker, because the water will be replaced by air, however in a car engine it's more like haviing a tube full of water, because the car has an air intake!
Anyway, enough of a physics lesson, it's a scam!

Yes CO2 will make the air cold, but it's a much different system to just putting a block of CO2 iin the air intake!
If you really want to get cold air look into something called a peltier, sub zero temperatues on one side, red hot on the other side!
