View Full Version : Need Help!idicator Lights!how Do Ya Get Em Out?

ok i just recently got my bodykit installed,and ive seen so many ppls profiles on amc wit clear indicator lights,all i need to know is how to get my originals out so i can show some1 at auto 1,and then get the measurements to get some sent down,or get sometin the simular size fitted,they got some awsome holden commodore clear idicator lights in and if they fit they should look good:D
just need to know how to get them out if any1 could please help me out!
oh my cars a third gen magna te 97 most of the parts fit all magnas in third gen models.

for one dude, just order some 380 clear indicators from mitsu, will cost about $11 and they will have them for u the next day or even the same day, my mechanic installed mine within 5 mins so im tipping there should be a clip behind the guard and should come straight out, well thats what it looks like to me!!

just got them delivered today not bad for 11.50 each:D
got my mechanic to fit them for me as well free of charge:)
look much beter than gay orange,was gona get some blue lights but theres so many cops it would be hard to get away with it,stil look good how they are

Are these the same for the second gens as well?
as i can see both you guys are third gen owners.

hey i was thinking about doing this mod myself. how do u actually take out the side indicator. im to lazy and stingy to get a mechanic to do it. thanks

It's real easy, all you need is a flat blade screwdriver and a piece of cloth or old sock or something.
Make sure the car alarm is off before you do this - I got a nasty surprise lol
Wrap the cloth around the screwdriver blade - so as not to damage the paintwork. Now take the screwdriver and ease it in underneath the rubber boot of the indicator, then gently twist it. I stuck it in on the side that faces the rear of the car. Basically the indicator cover just pops out, its on a simple clip. Then you simply give the globe a little twist to free it from the housing and bobs yer uncle.

yeah mate theres a thread in the wa section under"new body kit!"i will also upload some more photos later on i supose so then if any1 wants to see a bms front bar they can look in there!
you can also look in my profile anytime at all theres also a nice big photo for all you magnas to look at and admire,but il tell ya wat mate il upload a few photos just for you mate:)

ignore the crap on the licence plate,it suposively reflects speed cameras,not that you should use it(its called rustkill grey),ive neva had a camera ticket b4,not that i dont speed anyways:badgrin: i will have new plates soon!
any otha questions bout my body kit il upload more pics in my thread so ya get an idea wat it looks like!
