Hi all,
I'm a newbie to car audio and almost everything I know was self taught from these forums. I've got a stock 6 speaker system in my TR (Elite) with a stock HU. I would like to upgrade the rear speakers and the front ones(the 4" ones on the dash not the doors ) With 6" 3 way Clarions (SRR1736) and 4" 2 way Clarions (SRR1028) respectively. Will this setup give me decent sound quality? I got a deal where I pay $129 for the 6" and $39 for the 4" and $120 to install it all.

I dunno about the price of that stuff but Pooky has the stock HU in her TR elite.
I hooked up an FM modulated sony 10 stack cd to it.
It has a little controller I mounted next to the wheel and the stacker in the boot.
The sound comes through the FM on the radio and it sounds great.
You get to keep all the steering wheel controls too.:D

wish I had thought of that before :P
