Who has 8in or 8.5in wide rims and what is there offset.

i have 8 inch wide rims, how do i find out the offset? Is it written on the actual rim?

hmmm well they are BA series 1 xr6 rims if that helps.

It's writtin on the inside of the rim..
Used to have 18 x 8.5s and the offset was +40.. Used to be fine on the GTV.. Now they're sold!
Looking around for a new set..

I got 8.5" wide rims with +38 offset.. scrubs at the back coz of my 245 series tyres. +40 or +42 would be good i think.

hey man im plannin on getting 245's later coz i love the fat tyre look from the back. can you send me a pic of the rear end of you car showing how fat they look pliz?

18x8 with 235 offset +38 no problems:D

while i got the pics up, can anyone with photochop skills put another exhaust tip on the other side and remove the wing please? I really want to get dual exhaust. When I do, I will remove the wing. :)

Where does it scrub.
Tyres hits the guards when the weight transfers from cornering through some roads with undulations mostly uphills and off-camber corners. My guards are rolled but they still scrub at times.

i got 18 x 8.5's 245's up front 235's back i think, front tyres scrub on chaissis on full lock, also scrub a bit on inner plastic guard no problems with back, cept on the occasional big bump or the occasionalcar leaving ground and landing hard :confused: not pretty.

I have 8.5s with 245/35`s and no problems.. my offset is BA falcon what ever that is..??
