how much are advance bendex brake pads suppose to cost???

i got a quote from repco saying they cost $76.00 for all 4 pads...isnt that alittle too cheap??

the fronts are about $40 ish and the rears are about $30 ish - so yeah - that is a good price

basically when you put your new pads in - take your car to the back streets and just gentle accelerate to 60 and gently come to a stop - i mean like 20% throttle - real gentle. do this 10-15 times and the brakes should be bedded nicely - this is to just gently wear away the protective coating on the pads, this heats them slowly and and sets them to your discs

after doing this about 10-15 times accelerate to about 100 and gently slow it down again to a stop - this is best down on a quiet road with a proper speed limit - freeways with break down lanes work well!!

and then once you have done this 10 or so times - give a good couple of stomps - accelerate and brake hard - like almost lock the wheels up and you should be able to feel them bite ALOT better than your previously worn pads.

The 0-100-0 is not necessary - though I do this anyways to make sure they have bedded properly - but if you don't have access to the roads to do this - 10-15 of the 0-60-0 is more than sufficient.

they will chew through your rotars like there is no tomorrow, if you wanna upgrade to a decent pad check out EBC Green stuff, good for light street duties (hard driving basically) which is perfect for most of us :)
