along the dash on a TS where the vents are, want to paint it silver.
Did a search and one thread seems to indicate it is held on by two wingnuts behind the dash, can anyone confirm this is correct?

I haven't done it yet, but I know there are wingnuts plus a screw hidden by the instrument cluster bezel. There's a screw there for the right-hand side one as well.
Not sure how to get to the wingnuts. Think you might need to disassemble the glove compartment and it's surround?

Here's another useless post. Yes there are wingnuts. How you are supposed to get to them... Who knows...
I saw pictures somewhere here of that piece painted blue. Find that person - he must have had to take it off.

once the screw is undone from near the cluster, there are 3 screws that need to be removed from the glove box when it is open.
pull the glove box out of position and there are 2 wing nuts holding the plastic on. one one the left of th centre air vents....and one on the right of the left air vent. the one on the right is VERY hard to get undone because there is the air vent piping in its way.
