so you have about 2k to spend on a 2din dvd head unit, which one do you go for?

Perhaps add eclipse to that list? Alpine, Eclipse and JVC and Pioneer would be in my top few ones to pick.

the new eclipse one is perfect, but you'd have to stretch to about $3500... but it does include sat-nav :D if not, you could find one of the older ones, for WAY under $2000, but its interface is looking pretty dated now.

other than that, i find it hard to go past alpine's headunits... havent used many i dont like, and their top models are always impressive.


oh, just make sure you do get a double-din ;) i cant stand fold-out screens!

if i was gettin one, it would have to be the JVC, not just cos ive got a jvc HU now, but because of the slot for the SD card. I love it! best idea ever i reckon!!

im thinking either the Alpine Pioneer or the clarion, i like the pioneer as it's a 6 disc stacker as well.... and the alpine/pioneer will blend into the dash better too...

ahh well i'll be off to the shops to have a play with them and see which one suits me best i think

I like the look of the JVC better also than the rest.

Or the pioneer model that i see floating around in JB Hi-fi, the one for around $1800. Looks the goods.

if you can double your budget, get an eclipse AVN6000..
