As the Heading suggests, Does anybody know from experience how far in the park brake shoe makes contact on the inside of the rotor drum for a third gen magna? Ie. is it right of the lip or 10mm in from the lip....???
Maybe someone has an old rotor with a worn point on the inside of the drum...

I dont think there is a warn point.
My car's started doing it at 45000k then i adjusted the hand break and it was fixed. now for last 10,000 K its pain in butt but as mitsu says only option is to change the pads. so save money and get it changed.

The reason I ask the question is that I am looking to fit 284mm 3000GT rotors to the rear hubs and I can account for the offset change for the calipers but if there is no offset tolerance with the park brake then the park brake wont operate properly. The internal diameter for the drum in both rotors is 168mm but the offset is different by 3.7mm toward the outside of the car.
So I'm asking those who have had their rear rotor off to let me know where the brake shoe makes contact with the drum so I can determine whether I'll have any dramas.
