Hey all. Has anyone done a manual conversion to a 2nd gen V6 before? I know a few people have done it to 3rd gens, but i need to know what i need to do and buy to do the conversion on my Verada wagon.

as far as i know ill need to buy:

Gearbox
Manual shifter
Clutch and pedal.

do i need to change any mounts? what happens with the auto computer?

any help will be great :D

I don't think it'd be too much different from the 3rd gen manual conversions. They would at least point you in the right direction. Maybe contact the guy on here that did choongas conversion, can't remember his username though sorry.

You would need a manual ECU wouldn't you?

im unsure. i dont know if the ECU is different between Auto and Manual.

I thought maybe the ECU was the same and maybe you change or remove the Auto Comp. i have no idea lol

i just rang one place in melb that do manual conversions and they said around the $3500 mark to do it! nearly told them to stick it up the ring gear!

hmmm. that might be a good idea. but would there be any differences between a 4cyl 5pd and a 6cyl 5spd? as in positioning of things?
