it's an auto....it's a noise that fades in up to 50 kmh...then goes.....its on drive...in other words with slight pressure on accellerator to keep it, say at 50 km/h

well I took my car into mitsubishi today...they did some checks and admitted there is excessive transmission noise evident...they will replace the transmission, under new car warranty!

looks like u have had a bit replaced as well....I have also had the power window cluster on the middle console placed on warranty...I reckon Ive got a lemon! I had a TF a few years ago....had absolutely nothing repaired on it...a better car I reckon!

wow must have been a pretty loud noise for a mitsubishi dealership to agree to replace the whole gearbox! Normally car dealers pull out the old "nah mate thats normal whats wrong with ya your hearing things mate" gear and your lumped with it. Good stuff for you!

That's a ford thing.

I had my whole trans replaced, because sometimes it would be hard to get to move the shifter, sometimes not

in my experience its a holden and mitsubishi thing too.. to be fair its probably down to the individual dealership more then the make of car
