kicker aerpro? any more info?

have u read the rules for db drags? what class are you going to compete in? If you are serious about it you will also need lots of time and access to a dB meter, preferrably a termlab.

You will need heaps of tuning and trial-and error until you get it right.

Well its not an official dB drag.

Just an event thats happening at the show.

Kicker Solo-baric L7 in ported box
Kicker ZX750.1
Aerpro 0 Gauge
Aerpro 1 farad Cap

The class i can compete in is class C, cus i have 1 x 12" sub. Or class a for open class.

Use test tones. Use a db meter to find the best frequency.

yep... get ur hands on a Term Lab for the day, run through a whole lot of sweeps from 50 hz to 30 hz to find your best frequency. Burp at that frequency.

During the day, don't burp a lot. (if at all) leave your car on the charger. Try not to use any electrics.

Just before the burp rev your car up and pop on the aircon to cool ur amps/voice coils etc and get your voltage up.

Test with your seats down/forward/
Ensure wiring is safe.

Ensure batteries are in your remote and you find a spot outside the car where you will definetly have range with the infrared. (seen way too many comps where people screw up as they can't hit the play button.)

term lab = mic and meter that DB Drag events sue to measure ur db level. There are many other mics but Termlab is the only real measure (that gives u any cred)

go and copy a selection of test tones
http://www.realmofexcursion.com/main.html-> downloads

Burn em to cd and pop them on repeat to burp to once you've found your best tone (ie the one that is loudest)

Dont play music as it is dynamic in nature (has lots of silence/peaks/troughs) so it will never get you a higher reading than tones.

Things that you will see most benefit out of are playing with box location, port length/size, and tones/frequencies.

Peace

Tim

Yer I'll be there, have a run at national finals... just to see how you go. They usually let people have a go towards the end of the day (non competitors)

Im no SPL wizz though. But I could check it out...
