Hey guys,

I need to remove the passenger side grill piece on a TL magna but don't know how. I'm talking about the 'fins' next to the mitsubishi badge (or nostrils if you like lol). If anyone has done this before please post how you did it, including what screws etc. are holding it in, I don't wana snap it lol.

Cheers all!

um i wanted to do sometin my my grill(the bit between the head lights wit the fins and stuff(front grill as i would like to call it))but i fort i would just leave it as it is cos its got a cool mitsubishi logo on it:)
your best option is to go to your local panel beaters and ask them,or go to where you service your car and they maybe be able to help you out,hey its worth a try!
ps:ive also done a search for removeing grill but i came up wit nuthin
also if you know of some1 or friends wit some1 who is a mechanic or an acessories installer they could help you out,one of my mates is an acessories installer at a mitsu dealers, and he helped me out wit a few things on my magna:)

Not keen on going to Mitsu, nor am I cracking the grille. Surely you TL/TW owners out there have done this?

ok ive found out how to take the grill out. got it from the workshop manual :D.
on top of each grill there should be two screws, once the screws have been taken out there are four clips along the bottom of the grill, it says to gently pull foward on the grill and then it should pop out.
hope this helps :D.

Are they those black little screws?

Mr_Roberto

they are the screws that sit directly on top of the grill not inside, i think they are the same colour as your car i think, you should see alittle lip where the grill meets the top then the screw should be in line with these but set back towards the engine should be around centre

When I had my front bumper off we were too afraid to take it out. We drilled out those black screws because they didnt come out first shot with screwdriver. Even with the bar off we couldnt see how they clipped in from behind. Is it necessary to take it off?

Yep, need to get behind there unfortunately. I have pulled on the grille gently to see if they are a clip, but too scared to pull hard.

hmmm thats funny how your car doesnt have the screws in the same spot as mine, ive got the vr model so i thought that it would be the same as mine car . there has to be screws some where for it to come off, can you see anything inside the grill? i might just be clipped on

Thanks for your help mate.

Bloody Mitsu. This is the second thing on my car that I have found to be poorly designed. The first being changing a headlight globe.
