Hey, just recently got the turbo installed, its not running my biger turbo or 600cc injectors just yet, this is safer just for now, till i get used to it, and upgrade springs, shocks, clutch and brakes, its only just been finished yesterday.

yeah i did it all on my own, most of it was practically bolt on, and i got some help from mates aswell, especially when borrowing tools, well atm it runs about 10psi but i havnt installed my boost ctrlr so the boost tends to spike up to 15psi thats when the car starts pingin (detonation), im going to run some higher octane fuel to see what it does, but it needs a tune, its running on a basic map atm, so its not taking full advantage of the engine mods, such as the stage 2 turbo cam and stage 2 port and polish.

Even more reason to do this to a magna so when they do realize what its got its even more of a shock. Not like pulling up to the lights and being around 15 vl turbos

That thing is awsome!! well done dude

i hope you take it easy until u get the boost controller and proper tune so you dont cause damage.
i'm very impressed and look forward to seeing the final results, those extra mods like the cam and head work should do some real justice

was only thinking when i got on "what happened to that turbo 4 banger with the awsome exhaust manifold?" i went looking and your thread was at the top of the page.

Good stuff!

The mods and the setup i have atm dont go well together, because the cam makes the best power at about 3300Rpm and up, and the injectors i have in atm are only good for round 4000rpm and just after 4000rpm the turbo is out of puff...then when it hits 10psi i have to back the trottle of a little just so it stays at 10psi, otherwise it shoots up more boost, so atm its not really fun to drive, ive had quite a few cars try to have a go and its really hard to just sit there and not plant my foot, but hopefully the other turbo i have and the 600cc injectors going in + boost controller and a good tune, should be good to drive, ill try and get a sound file of the exhaust cause it sounds really good, ive only heard it at idle and it shure dont have the bad 4Pot accent.

VIP bought my TR Turbo KIT and is using the computer, piping, cooler, exhuast, turbo, manifold and the injectors I used but they are maxing out. He has optimised his fuel system with a bigger fuel pump, FPR and has a nice set of injectors which hopefully should keep RPM power near 5500rpm opposed to making it all between 2200-4300.
Mine made 171fwhp with the wastegate set a 10psi but blew out because of the wastegate size. When the bigger turbo is installed and tuned correctly with his other supporting mods of lower compression, double valve springs, cam and the engine recondition anything from 190fwhp-230fwhp should be achievable with a nice RPM band.

The gearbox will need to be watched because they fail around 200HP and a new clutch will be needed trying for a heavy duty style with bigger clamping pressure and trying to aviod a button system because it will sh*t the driveline.

The Wolf Map has being tuned to suit my engine being stock with VIP's cam and lower compression it has put it out of whack so when retuned and perfected it will operate better.

From a 2.6 Astron producing around 95fwhp to near 180 is excellent gains with most turbo KITS/Conversions saying 40% increase is good.

Will persistance and money I think around 250fwhp should be achievable.
