As the thread says im turboing my magna, and i will be collecting bits and pieces over the next few months, i will be trying to do as much as possible myself but there are somethings that i have to get made like the turbo manifold( see thread in for sale section), i will be using a single 600hp t3/t4 turbo(which i have already) in the hunt for 190-200fwkw. And if all goes to plan it will only cost $5000-$6000 dollars. I will keep you all updated on my progress and if anybody wants to turbo there car let me know. Here are the parts what is needed to turbo a magna,
*turbo
*manifold
*intercooler
*intercooler piping
*BOV
*3inch exhaust system
*computer
*injectors
*oil lines for the turbo
*fuel pump
*themo fan

Nice mate! Will be watching with eager eyes! Good luck!
p.s. got some questions..
What computer are you planning on using?
Where abouts are you sourcing the oil from?
Are the Stock injectors not sufficient? What injectors are you going for and how much?
Again, the stock fuel pump isn't sufficient? What fuel pump and how much?
How much boost will you be running? From what i've been told by dave/mitsiman a stock magna engine should only be able to take 7-8psi max before you start to break things internally.

i am tossing up between a haltec piggy back or a greddy e-manage, oil will come from the oil pressure sender, not sure about injectors when i pull mine out i will send them away to be cleaned and they can tell me what there rating is unless someone on here knows, and the fuel pump i guess wont be big enough but more a safty thing, i will most likely be running 7psi

as for the injectors, i'm pretty sure booya was just running 3.5L injectors in his 3.0L and was making quite decent amount of power out of them, not 100% sure of actual figures, but i'd guess they'd be right for the power your looking at

This is true, but Ben also had a ****load of fuel pressure delivered by 2x 700hp external bocsh fuel pumps. This setup would have definetly ensured that the injectors were flowing to their absolute limit every time they fired.
I was going to try and run the standard injectors in my car to see if they could cope, but "wimped out" at the last minute because I figured it would be cheaper and quicker in the long run to do it right the first time.

Common trick is to use a (as in one) decent pump (walbro or something) and a higher pressure fuel pressure regulator to increase the flow of the fuel injectors, I know for a fact that injectors do start to close badly once you pass 5 bar(!) (problem on a Saab turbo running 28psi - don't ask)
The other trick that works well as well is staged injectors - Injection Perfection (if they still exist) used to sell threaded injector holders that screwed into your intake runners. Allows you to run multiple injectors, you can even stage them.
Cheers

Great to hear you want to turbo a magna mate, before you consider it make sure you have good knowledge about turbo applications and how things operate and be ready to spend big bucks to make them work daily without braking something weekly.
Stock injectors are bullsh*t they need to be replaced with some decent 600cc SARD, HKS or other good suppliers aviod ****ty EBAY specials and unknown brands which generally fail when flow tested and cook your engine. Fuel Pump and FPR need to be replaced, I'd go for a sard FPR and a good fuel pump from a reconised company.
Using a t3/t4 will be to large for a magna unless its housing is small and they only work effectively at high levels of boost and HIGH RPM.
If you want 200fwkw a decent clutch and flywheel will be required costing around 1,500.
Speak to someone at a good workshop before you start purchasing gear mate because its a mission haha

also, the haltech interceptor can not adjust for larger injectors. I'd go the greddy with the external map sensor! nengun will be able to supply you with a heap of new stuff at pretty cheap prices
