i hope i dont get blasted for, i have done a search and have not come up with a definitive answer to whether a hose that is ribbed is better than a hose the isnt ribbed. i see many people on this forum using the ribbed ones. have u notice any difference in using one that isnt ribbed. i was thinking about going the ribbed one and feed it through to my fog light, as it is more flexible. is there any other kind of piping i can use to feed to my foglight, which is smooth but still flexible and cheap. thanks

sooooo..............hookay

what are we using these ribbed/unribbed hoses for???

if your talking about CAI, then unribbed... as the air flow is one continuous flow...

Yep although the one from super cheap is ribbed on the outside it is smoooth inside, beware though that pipe sucks teh nads next to extreame heat

My mates older bro bought a ribbed one for his TF Sports and that reduced the performance something shocking.

I use a ribbed one simply because the ribbing is thick stainless steel, which prevents the hose from being shredded as my intake is sitting below the level of the rest of the car.

Ditto and 7kw on the dyno, so I cant see non ribbed piping yielding f/all more than that.

The girls like the ribbed better. It's for her pleasure.
