i would definatly add more fibreglass or use a thicker material, whatever just to get a thicker finish. you have to be careful that its not too thin otherwise it will vibrate and sound rather average

I just finnished glassing a centre dash piece with a boost gauge and a few little things added. I'll get pics.

Moral of the story is, fibreglassing is pretty easy!
