Seems like i'm in the minority having a 3rd gen 4cyl.how many others are there out there.if enough maybe we should make a 4cyl division.

I am a 4cyl, and have been in the threads for nearly 1 year and a half.
I have done most mods myself.

Know quite a few here with 4 cyl and had no complains.

Dad had a 2.4L for 10 years, all he did was change the oil and filter every 10,000 and it made it well over 250,000Km, didnt even change any belts or anything!!!

I wonder weather the current Lancer 2.4 mivec head will bolt up? I suppose the ECU would need to be changed but there would be a power gain.

Yeh i have thought about this many of times, i assume it would although i have yet to find anyone who has done it!! but yeh power gains would be made, then throw a turbo on :D

well i have a 4G64 as well and i love it!! BUT!! as i found out after my transmission packed up... of the TE magnas made; 10% were 4G64s with jus under half of these being manual!! THAT IS RARE :)

i am part of that exclusive 5% lol

ok ok wow 5% manuals?**** im coollol :) yeah **** yeah that is rare!i tink im the only pimped out magna in that class (TE 1997 2,4 manual)as well as maty_j and nexus. a 97 hey?thats like the same as mine!good to meet ya mate! matty_js is a 96 i tink and is an auto and i tink nexus is the same , everythings basically the same(as in same parts ,extras etc) i think for the 96 te and the 97 te 4 cylinders?

TE and TF were available only in 2.4 4Cyl and 3.0 V6 (KE & KF Verada had 3.5L V6)

2.4 was dropped after the TF, TH were available in 3.0 V6 and 3.5 V6 ONLY.

4cyl TF white wagon ....Not by choice but im happy with my purchase 1997 as new and i mean "as new" not a mark on it..Windows done "Limo black" tint .Next stop -18 X 8 blades hopefully get it looking as good as the other wagons i've seen here.

4 cylinder TF wagon, white, 1997, but only a medium tint - not the cheapest, not the most expensive.

Oh, and manual...

A good a place as the last I posted (with no useful results), what gear do other 2.4 manual drivers leave it in at 60? I leave mine in 3rd because in 4th the revs drop below 2k. Just seems wrong, though.

i've since colour coded the boot trim, done the stereo, got a new letter box grill, head light covers and changed the wheels to 16"..
no engine work though:D , apart from K&N panel and a TJ air snorkel

just a few lil interior things i got as well if your interested:)
full nos seat covers(blue),back custom made seat cover wit center flip down,blue checkered plateing floor mats,gear stick nob wit led lights,black leather holding for the gear stick,painted console,deck(the bit that the gear stick is on,i call it deck anyways),side air cons,blue dash lights,2 led lights in the front,a neon for the back shelf,custom made dash mat wit magna logo on it,3 switches on the deck to control neons,new car horn switch board(sits below the cd player,controls all the sounds for my new car horn),oh and like 4 big cases of cds that sit in the front seat:)

ooooh very nice... urs is pimped hahahaha. go the "PIMP" division lol i have actually got a new wheel in my ride... will post some pics soon. its still momo but its a leather with plastic inserts bits... dunno what its made of :-P im respraying the "plasticky" bits blue to match the interior. best thing is its still racing series so its only 12.5" across... nice and small. looks a bit like a clown wheel in such a big car though but i love it!

my future plans:
new headunit 2 weeks time,more interior work to do,extractors hopefully in late october im hopeing,then gona save for bigger mags hopefully some 18s by xmas if i got the money then have it lowered and ready to cruise in some serious style on new years eve:cool:
then all next year ive planned to go all out on modding my car slowly over the year,but il see wat happens:D

well i work full time,when i do get some time off next year il be cruising to perth on my holidays,so unfortunately i wont be able to make it,but i will let the wa blokes know wen i cruise to perth,would be good to meet all of the wa crew:D
