its a JB $27 kit ill letuse no how it goes if i get there...

just get a rag and put it behind the winder winder and like work the rag side to side like your cutting through cheese.....from the bottom though....the clip looks like an omega sign if that helps:)

hmmm not realy sure what you mean... does it slide of toward the nob...? or out toward the center of the car... and y a rag why cant it just be pulled???

It's got a circlip type thing which holds it in place, the rag idea is intended to dislodge it. The circlip sits in a groove and locks the wiper on, the rag catches the ends of the circlip and kinda spreads it while pushing it backwards, popping it off the winder shaft. Once it's off, the winder just pulls straight off.

Installing is the opposite, put the winder on, then slide the circlip over the shaft until it snaps into place.

Do a google image search for "circlip" to see what we mean.

yeah there is a thin metal clip behind the rubber washer...i pulled the washer over slightly to see what direction the clip was in...then used pointy nose pliars and unclip it.

when you come to refit the winder...i think you just need to put the clip on the winder first, then push the winder onto the shaft.

rag can get frustrating so i just did what slyts6 did but used a flat bladed screw driver instead of pliers :).

And i'm sure FORD prob do make a more reliable engine than the magna (maybe?) but i found it funny that someone would put a ford badge on a magna and thus i'm doing what's known in the aussie language as "Taking the piss".

I get a coathanger, undo it and then bend one end into a small 90 degree angle.

Then you can use that to get in under the handle, grip the loop of the circlip and then pull it out.

Works a charm every time. Way way better than the rag or the screwdriver method.

well 12 days later i got the central locking in and working.... any ideas where to run the power from...? the bow is below the fuse box is there a wire behind the fuse box i could use if not i thought maybe the cigarette lighter power...?

im still putting the speakers in the door but desided to put the panasonic 1s in the ford and the JL Audio 1s in the magna...

dont use the power from the sig lighter because in some cars the ligher power only works when the key is at the acc position (like my TR magna) and that would defet the point of central locking take the power from after the fusable link or someware power is going though all the time
