I been running around shops here looking for a TL Dash Mat. The only place that had them was Super Cheap Auto but its range only had as far as TE and onwards. Now, the dude stated that its because they fit all magnas after that year/model equally. Anyone know is this correct or??

It should come supplied with a few velcro squares....if it still comes off....get some more velcro lol...just use some prepsol on the bits of dash ur gonna stick the velcro too as it doesnt like to stick onto armourall etc.

done a quick search and its available at bunnings as a generic brand (wax and grease remover), apparently its good for removing the glue after debadging your car as well. Citro clean is good also.

Lol dont use citro clean on your paint mate......if it stripped the clear off our floor at work i'd hate to see what that does to paintwork
For debagding a car, go the safe way, use fishing wire to cut through the gunk..then use bug and tar remover to soften the goo, cant go wrong:D

well good thing i didnt today, the link i looked up prepsol was on a falcon forum, so there should be a few fortes out there with stripped paint where their badges were. I ended up rubbing it off with a dry, rough cloth (after wetting down the leftover glue and trying to pick it off with the little fingernails i have lol) came off a treat. But i want to clean up the dashboard and get my mat on, or ill send it off to kommando. Ive tried getting a new patch of velcro on but it still slides off, dont care, ill just keep armoralling the dash if i cant have the mat on it :)

prepsol is primarily an automotive panel cleaning agent for cleaning panels prior to painting - I highly doubt it would strip paint off cars - it is very safe on paint if used properly
my father has used this product for over 20 years of sprying cars and has never had an issue with it......awesome stuff!

Hey hoots I think there was a little confusion. Prepsol wasnt accused of removing paint, citro clean was. I totally agree Prepsol is awesome stuff. Everytime my step father has sprayed anything, he has decades of restoration experience, he preps with prepsol. It doesnt hurt to wash your car with it if you are planning on cutting and polishing weathered or oxidised paint.
Cheers
