as shown in the attachments, a pic of my car with my new 18" rims, now the profile on the tyre is small but i seriously am not spending another $300 - $400 on changing the profile so it looks bigger, so im looking to lower it approx 80mm - 85mm but in all the searching ive done in Super Lows and King Springs and what not, the max drop they do it 50mm. is that the furthest i can go? ive looked thru the 1st 10 pages of this section as well as used the search function and have found mixed responses.
so, what do i need to do this drop? and pulling out the angel grinder and cutting them wouldnt be my main option if possible.
do i need coilovers? springs? what? im just not looking to spend 2k on coilovers coz i dont have that much money.
let me know
cheers,
Tristan

kings superlows are 60mm drop, lovells superlows are 50mm.
Without getting coilovers the only way you're going to get close to 80mm drop (if it's even possible!) is to get a set of superlows and then get them compressed.

Firstly, what sort of tyres were fitted on the wheels? I assume the original wheels/tyres
were 14" with 185/75R14 tyres? You'll need 195/45R18 or 225/40R18 tyres to match the
overall diameter of the original tyres. You will then only need to lower it 50 to 60mm. You
need to make sure that the load rating of the new tyres are at least that in the tyre
placard.
Secondly, going so low just to get rid of the wheel arch gap will cause problems
elsewhere, like damaging bottom of car. Also, there needs to be a min of 100mm clearance
at the bottom of the car (when the car is fully laden).

I have superlows In the front, And lows in the rear, I wouldnt mind having the rears compressed but with 2+ People in the car the car sits a cm lower....so eh i would go this option.

Close enough :).
If you somehow managed to drop it 80mm, you're going to run into problems.
P.S. Vlad, he wants to dump it 80mm, i don't think being legal ever crossed his mind :P.
