My ralliart intermediate piping and muffler is dying and went to mitsubishi to get parts and they checked the computer and it says the parts are obsolete and not in stock.
I thought car companies are suppose to make parts for a particular model of cars for a particular number of year.
I went to an exhaust place to see what they can do and was glad that he will do my exhaust but I can't remember what he's gonna put on it. Anyway he said it will flow better and more performance than the stock ralliart exhaust

If he's replacing the entire exhaust make sure it's at least 2.5". And make sure the muffler is a high flow muffler like magnaflow, or powerflow etc.

Nope, no problem at all. Pick a tip you like and go for it. :D
It depends on the agreement with the manufacturer of the parts.
Perhaps the manufacturer has gone out of business? Or that its only a 3 year agreement..
A replacement exhaust from an exhaust shop will generally be better anyhow. (so long as you go to a quality shop)

Most car manufactures have to supply parts for around 10-15years.. but i guess not with an exhaust as it can be replaced at a exhaust shop, headers might be a diff story though....

HM Headers do a replica of the headers as they supplied the original headers for the ralliart, they also do a replacement Y pipe which is slightly better than the original and in Stainless.
The rest of the system wasnt really unique to the Ralliart.
The cat and centre pipe is the same on all the TJ's. The VRX/Sports/Ralliart all share the same rear section including muffler. The only part that varies is the tip.
The aftermarket can make up a much better flowing system then factory just make sure you get a good quality rear muffler.

Just picked up the car. A redback piping shortened and modified and redback muffler put on with ralliart tip. It sounds better than stock...deeper note. :D I have noticed that air from the exhaust seems to be hotter than stock. Not sure if this is good or bad or something wrong.
