Hey all,
Just got one of these and was wondering if there is anyway to modify them?
Anyone done a white face on it or changed the lights? The lights are a Mitsubishi item which I believe you cant match with any sort of coloured LED but I really want a pure white light like in my dash cluster.
Any help appreciated

Yeh same here. Thinking a white ground with no numbers. Stylish and sophisticated, just the way i like it! ...And maybe some LED sleeves to whiten it up or give a tinge of colour.
You got one installed in your dash yet?

I've got red sleeves on mine, but I really want LED replacements, as it's a bit too dull. But as you say, I haven't been abe to trace what kind of bulb they are to find easy replacements, and my homemade experiments with high-brightness LEDs haven't worked too well (trying to fit in the resistor as well).
I guess you could try replacing the face, I think it's metal at the moment, completely opaque, so the light is only what seeps around the sides, it doesn't actually shine through the face.

Ive just taken mine apart now and the face wont actually come off, its like metal backed and is stuck down pretty hard, im gonna scan it in and see what i can anyways

yup
my mate did it, no worries, had to set up 3 LEDs on either side, just took the normal globes out and re did it, pics in attachments, its reasonably easy if you know how to use a souldering iron and have the right ****.
but like this guy is 1 pro LED dude, used to rice and build rally cars for a living.

gotta get the strip off - take out the glove box as there are 2 screws in behind it, one in the middle, and one over the left which is a ***** to get to.

gotta get the 2nd gen clock off [TUFFTR] cheers bro

gotta wire it all up so that it has constant power, as well as parker light starting (so the LEDs come on when the parkers are turned on) i also connected it up to the dimmer, so when you turn the light behind the dials down it turns the LED's down.

gotta make sure youve plugged it all in properly and it works

try taking a pic of it while your driving.
hope you like it

neg, sorry i didnt take any while he was doing it, i should have ey lol.
what you gotta do is when you take the globes out, you have to find the positive and negative feeds for the light, then connect the LED and the little fuse thing up the them, but you have to have approx 3 LED either side, and you have to bend them so that the kinda go the whole way around, then once its connected to the parkers its illuminates nicley, you could put like 10 LEDs behind there if you wanted too, 3 on either side worked for me.
