Ladies and Gentlemen;
I have another problem and this ne is in the form of my boot light not working. I have just installed one of my neon lights into the boot and set it up through the existing wires conected to the boot lid so that the light turns on when the boot lid is open( a normal light set up you could say). However after securing the light to the parcel shelf and testing the plug used for power using a light metre (the light ignited when i tested it) and connecting the two together nothing happened. The boot was open and there was no light. The first thing i checked was that the light ws plugged in all the way the i proceded to check the fuses. One was slightly sizzled so i replaced it still to no avail. Now the weird part is hat the interior light still works and the boot doesnt. If anyone has any ides on whats wrong they would b greatly appreciated
Thanks all
Uncle Andy

Just swap the wires

If it doesnt work one way, it'll work the other way

Or, your neon is blown

maybe it's not grounded properly or the ground might be lose. now is there a little switch , i mean when u open the boot is there a little switch that allows current to go to the light but when the boot is closed the switch is off. u know what i mean?? maybe it's faulty and needes to be replaced. just u said u tested it and it was fine but when it is all conected up and the boot is open nothing happens right.

I have solved the problem at last, i checked everything again starting with the power, still nothing, so then to the fuse box i removed the room/clock fuse and discovered it had a bit of "something"(looked like dirt) on one of the blades so i gqave it a bit of a scrub with a wire brush and pluggeds her back in. Sucess the light is running perfectly. You cant really see it in the dy light cause its blue but tonight when i got off work and checked it agan the boot just glowed.
Thanks for all the advise and sorry if i wasted anyones time
