I am new to this forum but really like what I have seen. I have a 1997 3.5 Verada Station Wagon with a few modifications. I have not had any problems with this car until now. The auto?? is making a noise as though something has sheared. I can still select gears etc but the selection is very jumpy and feels as though the handbrake is stuck on!! All services etc have been carried out and the car is well looked after. I am getting dealer to check it out on monday under warranty. Has anyone had this problem before. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
The mods I have done to this car is a 3 inch free flowing exhaust system front to back into a 3.5 inch tip. The car has been lowered with tinted windows. It looks and sounds great but this auto problem is a worry!!!!

Whatever the problem is, get it fixed asap, my auto slowly died a horrible death but never did it make strange sounds, just took minutes to get into gear before the thing just wore out.
And welcome dude, enjoy. 8)

checked the tranny oil lately? sounds like its a problem with the diff, because its making the noise in all gears is it not? you didn't accidently put engine oil in the transmission did you :P

Thanks for your replies.
The dealer has found that it had sheared the spider gears on the diff. He hadnt seen this problem before. Luckily it is under warranty and they are installing a new auto.
The 3 inch exhaust works and sounds great. The only droning is under about 20kph but is not annoying. I have left one resignator in the system but one was removed.
