Hi guys,
This has probably been covered but I can't seem to find a definative answer.
I'm wondering what type of basic dc-dc power supply I could pickup from say JayCar to run a PS2 Slimline in the car.
So many options but so little clue so any help would be great.

I use a 300watt intverter. It was $90 from dicksmith. I get some interferance though my speakers though. I recommond getting the 300watt sine wave inverter but it will set you back around $300ish.

From like games wizards or EB i believe u can get ones that plug into ciggie and direct into PS2.. so u dnt need to plug PS2 into a plug into ciggie... its 1 less inverter/transformer

certain places can mod the power supply of the ps2 to run of 12volts i cant remember if it was the guy at the mod shop or the guy at audiocom who told me that they could do this

Ive heard of a connection that goes straight to the ciggie lighter without an intveter but this was only for the slimline version. You could by them from dick smiths but i think they were about $200 but dont quote me on that.

Thanks guys,
It is the slimline, ill have a look at some of the options. The less I spend the better as it really only is a novelty factor rather than a necessity.
Cheers

I work at Jb and do teh games there, there is a 12v adaptor for your cigratette lighter made by a company called joytech, they cost around 20 bucks i can't remember of my head. Defiantly the far most cheaper option. But only for slimlines

Games Wizards, PS2 adapater plugs straight into cigarette lighter.
It's called a JoyTech PS2 Car Adapter and is $19.95.
It's installed and no sound interference whatsoever.
Yay me.
Only sucky thing is it doesnt quite fit into the underseat tray with a memory card still inserted. Ill have to work on this problem later but oh well.

Its wired up to the back of the ciggie lighter. The cables are run down the center to under the passenger seat.
Mine makes a buzzing sound when the volume is up over halfway. I have no problems with my picture though.
