Would it be possible to replace the TP's AFM with one from an R32 GTS-T skyline ?

If i **** the wiring up, whats the worst that can happen ? I will destroy the ECU ? Can i damage the R32 AFM ? (my bro will be pissed and they arent cheap)

32's again.

I noticed that socket for the TP's one has 6 connectors and the skyline one has 5.

Found the pinouts for the skyline afm. If it works i wonder if it would imporve performance in anyway.

won't work, the Skyline is a "Hot wire" type it has a heater and a sensor that detects the air flow i.e. as more air flows through the cooler the wire will be,

the TP is a Karmen Vortex, witch uses frequency to detect air flow it also has a pressure sensor, and that little sensor up the top is the Air temp sensor it uses the pressure and air temp to set timming

Also u can check this out too

Sorry, as stagma said I thought the mitsu ones were hot wire.

also a better pic of a Hotwire AKA Maf sensor (this is off a subaru)

The same pinout for this AFM as skylines, 2 pins supply voltage to heater, 2 pins are for the sensor, 1 pin cause they thought a 4 pin plug would look cheap

Maybe you could look in a second gen or v6 magna afm they are still karman vortex and maybe interchangeable contact me if your interested

If i ever come across one ill give it a go. I just thought since i had the other afm, it wouldnt hurt to see if it improved performance.

You could retro fit the magns one into the skyline.
