I was looking at a verada today, and below the speedo there were like 4 little lights that looked standard, something to do with different modes? like sports and so forth, was looking on the forums and found a set of struts/springs which are electronic controlled like airbags, is this right? are there a suspension upgrade that you can get thats controlled for different purposes like airbags that are standard? if anyone knows anything please post it up, even photos would be awesome
By the sound of it i can get everything for my rada for it if only i know what i needed to get to do the conversion, also wat are the benefits. thanks all for your help!!

From how I understand it, they only came in the top-of-the-range KR, it was dumped from the KS due to issues?
Don't know what's involved in trying to get it installed "stock", it would be possible using third-party systems, but the main issue now is that apparently most of them have at least some isssues, be it torn bags, worn compressors, etc.
There was a set recently in the for sale section:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&item=160027765312&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
I was interested, but never got a reply back about possible postage.
To retrofit the system would probably be a fairly major job. You need the struts and springs (springs are non-standard), hoses and connectors, compressor, and some sort of control system, which on the KR included various sensors for height and I think also accelerometers of some sort.

I have this system on my Xi, it worked well untill my compressor died. I had an aftermarket compressor put in but it was rather noisy, to make it worse the 2nd compressor started making abnormally loud noise last week and doesn't seem to pump much at all.
So the car needs attention, not much travel left in the suspension without the air. Im trying to decide whether to replace the system with shocks&springs or to sell and buy a new car.
Changing the modes like to sport changed the hardness/firmness, didnt seem to affect the hight too much. High obviously made it higher, driving like this felt weird, being higher up like a small 4WD and it was very floaty + headps of body roll. The only benifit was to be able to change to sport mode when you wanted to have fun, and leaving it to normal for comfort. The whole system is probably more trouble than its worth.
I would take photos but i seem to have misplaced my camera... think its at mum and dads.

My Xi has the system removed due to malfunction most likely. It was gone already when i bought the car. Its still a smooth ride with no too much roll. You can still have some fun :P

if you need to know how to properly remove this system go to my web pages and navigate to my other cars in the menu, you will then find the magna tech section.
In all the system was good, just no one knew how to service it or use it properly.
