Hey i'm just wondering, does the leather seats out of a 1999 model Verada go into a 2nd gener?
I know AJ has KH 2000 leather in his 2nd gen, wondering if its the same with the 99 model?
if anyone hears of any i'm up for it for the magna. Thanks
Joe

I got my leather!!
http://www.blackfox.com.au//gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=37&g2_serialNumber=2

I changed over the internal seat belts aswel (practically exacly the same for all but the rear center seat, mine only had a lap seatbelt while the 2000 rada has a shoulder seatbelt (in photo havn't changed drivers seat one yet oops)

had to run power for the electric seats for the drivers seat, had to repair electrics, a gear wasn't connecting right for the motor to move the seat backwards and forwards, a quick pull apart and diagnostic and all working.

the rear seats fit poorly haha, the angle brackets which the top of the back seat hook onto are in different positions so i drilled and made some new ones out of u brackets, the rear bottom seat attaches differently to the 2nd gen, the clip on the second gen to connect to the car is a part of the cusion, while in the 2000 it is actually a part of the car, i couldn't remove these as they were plastic and just broke, so off to mitsubishi dealer to see if i can purchase the ones from the 2000 to stick in them, paul if you need them as i know you do for your rear seat (might be an idea for those times out on the town :D )

i love them :D

I put 3rd Gen Verada Velour in a 2nd Gen today, looks really top notch.

Front seats bolt straight in. Rear seat - 2 side bolts dont go in, but middle does no problem. The bottom cushion overhangs a bit, so I put 2 bolts halfway in below the seat and clipped the wire connectors over them.

Looks a million $$$$, can take pics tomorrow if youd like to see.

I will be going to an upolsterer to do leather door card inserts, aswel as the custom mdf panels for the front doors. Also the roof lining will be matched in colour as will the pillar pieces aswel i think.
Thanks for your support :) Its great to see second gens being done up, brings a smile to my face when i see one.

I will have more pics up for your this evening when i get back from repairing the rada i will post them up in my gallery, bookmark it if you like to see future changes
Mine cost me so far about $400, I found a black set which i really want but they want $800 for the seats alone :( unless someone wants to buy mine then ah well what can you do.
also they are in NSW so unless i want to do a road trip just for the seats its probably not viable, unless anyone knows how i could get them up here safely? Like there must be removal trucks they don't get full, or people who ship couches and the like?

Just got these genuine Verada leather seat covering for under $400.
Going to have them installed by a trimmer for around $200.
Holes need to be cut into the side of the front driver's side for the electronic seat udjustment dials.
It also includes the backing for the map pockets section.

Can't wait til these will be installed :D
Then when i get some extra cash i'll take it back to the trimmer to get the door sides done and the centre console box

Thanks, there's nothing like Leather.
I don't know about the Interior LED bulbs. I just had my bulbs out of the car and matched the size up with LED replacements in a shop. I think my map lights only have 3 LEDs and the centre one has 4 or 6 LEDs. It was slightly bigger than the original so I had to bend the metal holders/bracket bits slightly.

Festoons are 31mm, I have 9LED ones from China via ebay, apparently most of the ones stocked in car stores here output bugger-all light. I'm quite happy with the ones I got, light output is on par with the standard incandescents.

PS. OT, GRDPuck, where did you get the DIN CD holder from?
