I installed the kit on saturday with a mate. Was extremly easy and took about an hour to get it all over and done with. The kit came with everything except brake fluid which was like 8 bucks from Auto One.

If anyone has ever driven an evo and felt the brakes on that, well this is the same!! It pulls up from high speed over and over and over again and seems to get stronger not weaker. There is no fade in the pedal it feels factory. When slowing down normally instead of pushing the pedal to slow you only need to rest on the pedal and it will slow, its caught me out a few times ive slowed quicker than i needed :D

This is what she looked like before i removed the wheel to start the upgrade

The kit that was about to be installed

you can easily see the difference in the size of the pad. The new pad has a slight taper on the edges so as it wears down it looks as if the pad will get more surface area on the disc. the taper is only 2mm, 3mm max

it feels like the car is going to do a forward flip!

ABS is retained, but instead of just thump thump thump like the usual the tyres screach on and off as the ABS pulses. I didnt do a measured distance of old and new, but the new stops a lot quicker and over and over again!

didnt expect any other answer from you.

off you go and get those 8 piston calipers mr keyboard assasin, i couldnt fit anything bigger otherwise the caliper would hit the rim. there is only 5mm gap as it is

im far from insecure about them, prob the best mod i've done to the car. They're big enough and would be hard to fit bigger.

the bloke who made them also said if i went too big, there would be too much leverage on the braket holding the caliper to the stub axle

They look sweet man. The pad is HUGE compared to the standard Ralliart pad. Hopefully I can get some decent money together early next year and get a set of these.

Ask for Peter Koning and tell him i sent you. A very friendly gentleman and was happy to do the setup for me from the word go. This is the 1st magna he has ever done, did all the R&D on his wife's 3rd gen magna (solara if i remember correctly) so it was always going to be a perfect fit.

Cost?? $1,700 to your doorstep, includes everything minus brake fluid and tools.

You need minimum 17 inch wheels for them to fit, tried my 16's on saturday and they were never going to fit.

Score. So, 17' VR-X Series II rims should fit this PBR hardware?

You know... all this green text reminds me of Asterix and the Roman Agent :bowrofl:

You need 17+" to fit 320mm rotors. But to fit the rotors with the bigger calipers (6+), you
need more +ve offset for clearance between the spokes and the calipers.

the caliper is 10-12mm bigger than a stock caliper. my wheels had 25mm gap between spoke and caliper before the new ones were installed.

go measure the gap on your cars and if you have around 25mm between the caliper and spoke, you're on easy street.

if unsure and in NSW, you're more than welcome to try your rims on my car before the purchase

So what exactly is "In" the kit??

I assume - rotor / Caliper / lines - what bracket do the PBD calipers fit to?? is it the standard bracket, or is there an engineered bracket?? Got images of that??

I have just got some 4-pot calipers for the front of the supra and some 323mm slotted rotors as well - they should fill out my new 18's nicely, but yeah - these bolt onto the factory location, just trying to work out if the new calipers fit the factory location given the bigger brake rotor.

it comes with laser cut steel brackets, all the bolts, spacers and spring washers that are required. also a very detailed and clear instruction booklet with pictures was provided so even a novice to car mods could do the install.

because i didnt know if the company that did the kit wanted it advertised everywhere. i wasnt gonna say "hey everyone, go email your silly questions to this bloke!!" if he didnt want that.

did i read some where that this kit fits both second and third gens? if so does this mean that your ralliart rotors will fit on my car? i have the twin pots already, which are the same as the ralliart (someone confirm this) i presume all i would need is the brakets to suit the larger rotor, and the rotor itself.

wanna sell ya old brakes?

ok, so i went out and measured the distance between the bit of my caliper closest to the spoke of the wheel and the inside of the spoke. the distance is 17mm. im running the standard 7 spoke Verada rims on a 97 3rd gen, which i think are 17 inch??? but nsure. i take it that this kit won't fit unless i change my rims??

thanks guys
