Probably in the wrong spot, but here goes:

I had my TL in for service today, as it clocked over to 30,000. I told them that I wanted a 30,000 KM service done, and that there was a squeak in the rear brakes that were sticking once the car had stopped.

I lobbed it in this morning, and I made my Partner late for work as she had to drive me home afterwards, however I got it in, and thought that all would be fine, and that the car would have all that needed to be done to it, done to it.

I pulled into my driveway about 10 mins ago, and did the usual service check, and low and behold, no new oil, coolant still low, and my breaks were still sticking. It cost me $200.00 for a car that is no different that it went in, and getting abused by the service manager, who told me that the car wasn't ready, yet he called me, when I was in a meeting and told me that it was ready.

Poor show Tynans at Sutherland. Never again will you touch my Magna.

Do you still have the receipt? Either take it back, go to another dealer or call mitsubishi head office.

personally i think you have answered ur own question.
if your not happy with it take it back and tell then u didn't fork out $200 for a service and to take a look at a few things only to get it back exactly the same.

Let them know, alot of the time they will be happy to make sure it gets done properly a second time around, no point in taking it somewhere else and forking out another 200.00 go get what you paid for!

I wouldnt pay 200 then just do nothing, but dont go back there again.

Personally I use to take mine to Mitsubishi, what a rip off, found a private awesome mechanics that do such a better job, urgh I could of saved $$$Heaps$$$ but now its all comming back as they do an excellent job.

Call Mitsubishi Head Office in your state asap and register a letter to the business that dudded you and the other to Mitsubishi.

Ask for your money back and put them on note of the ACCC.

I called and asked for an explanation. I have to take it back tomorrow, and I get a Courtesy car for my trouble. If, tomorrow when I get it home and open it up to see the Oil, and it isn't Golden, then MMAL have a date with the dealer.

Good to hear, most places will do this anyway, same as retail.

When I used to get my car serviced at a dealership (twice), I used to mark the oil filter and on the occasion that the air filter needed changing - I marked it as well. So that I could tell immediately if they hadn't been replaced.

A bit paraniod, I know - but I've heard too many horror stories.

that is just so annoying...im a mechanic in a large dealership a 30 k service would take no longer than half to 40 mins tops but not only do they charge a fortune but you mostly have the pleasure of an apprentice working on your car who wouldnt know a spanner from a hammer....im glad i do used car reco instead.:)
