Hi

I have a KR Verada I had the rocket cover gaskets, New plugs, Power steering seals and the crank seal done on my engine and it was going really good and now I have an oil leak. It is leaking from just below the exhust ports on the fire wall side of the Engine so it is hard to see where abouts its coming from. Would anyone know what the problem could be? We aren't using water but Obviously using oil?

My dad is doing a compression test on the car tomorrow and having a look for me.

Thank you for your Help

Possibly the cam seals but you should have done them if you did the crank seal.

Make sure the PCV Valve is working and that the hose feeding it isn't blocked.

All Fixed it was leaking from the back tapet cover which the mechanic replaced.

Every 3rd gen i have had/have got all leak oil from the heads on the front bank on the battery side. Not enough to drip on floor but enough sweat to run down the side of the motor after a while. Donno why just in that area.

Anyone know what this is and if it is an expensiv fix?

on the 3rd gen v6 motors, you will find the oil weepage coming from the plate on the right head, back of it. it's a cheap fix, just an "O" ring which will cost a few dollars. it's held on by two 12mm head bolts, one bolt will need to be shaved/cut 'cos of the "intelligent" design, and replaced by a shorter 12mm bolt. otherwise, remove all the alloy cooling setup.

p.s: anybody changing rocker cover gaskets on magnas should always buy genuine gaskets, as i've seen too many times the aftermarket ones to be crappy quality, and always leaking afterwards
