I want to put some neons in my boot (TR magna) so that when the boot opens the neons light up. but i have absolutely no idea how 2 wire them. if someone could please help me? would much apreciate
if anyone has done it orr has a foto of where to wire that would also be wiked

mate its simply as this.

1. Cut of existing boot light.
2. Strip wires, both neon and existing wiring of sheilding.
3. Join Positive ( RED ) wire from neon to positive ( RED ) wire from car.
4. Join Negative ( Black ) wire from neon to Negative ( Black ) wire from car.
5. Electrical tape up all joins

EDIT* When i say join i mean solder or use screw terminals, dont be dodge and twist the wires together.

Dodgy wiring = electrical fire
Car on Fire = bad

yeah i did what u sed. and its in and looks hell good im pretty happy. i bout 3 of them 2x12" and an 8" the one in the boot is the 8 inch i wanna put the 12" on the pastor shelf i just need 2 figure out a way lol (yes it comes on when the boot opens)

good job mate, i did the exact same thing it looks sweet

i like the look of your neons in the boot.
nice tidy looking job.
should go for an 8" in the lid.
run the wire down with the cables to neaten it up.
when you open her up everything just full on glows.

Nice. I have a 24" Blue neon on my boot lid.. it was from my underbody set.
When it didn't fit between my twin exhausts at the back of the car i decided to put it on the boot.

I have that neon and a blue sub one hooked upto the light switch in the boot. When I just pop the boot i get mad light shining up onto my back window that lights up my Mitsubishi sticker.

Just a question, anyone connected the wires to the globe holder "arms" in the boot (where the boot light globe sits between)? my mate said he did it and it was easier than cutting the wires but I'm not sure. + disconnect the battery right? (wow what a noob question)

I dont see why you couldnt do it. Just solder them on. Yeah you should disconnect the battery or just get a screwdriver and lock the boot latch so the light turns off.
