did this on the weekend, its all running off my headunit which is pretty old but yeah, its just better than the POS 4" stock speakers.
the headunit will blow before the speakers do.

6.5" closer to the front, with the 6" behind it inline with the hole (had to cut some of the metal out of the door but that was all sweet. and tweeters up at the top of the arm rest.
this isnt gonna be my propper set up, this is just to keep me happy till then.
next on the list is headunit, 3 amps, 4 more speakers, and ive already got 2 12" subs.

with a decent head unit that will take your door clean off i like it, does it rattle much? I have never seen two speakers in one door how does it sound if not too good maybe mount em in the back doors?

no rattle whatsoever, and yeah they go hard, no problems with them.
as i said this is just temporary coz i couldnt stand the 2 x 4"s any more, but next will be new door pods so they will have some kind of directionality, but at the moment they sound awsome so im not gonna complain.
im putting speakers in the back doors when i get them and the money, but otherwise the ones in the front are great.

are one of those speakers a 2 way and the other a split? take the high level out of the 2 way, and get some mad mid bass! i wanted to do this to my car, but decided on a more powerful set of midbass drivers to do the same thing. still want to do it though, but with a 6" midbass driver. bout 150w rms
ive also done the rear door speakers too. its a very worthwile mod. a 4" fits in the ashtray hole with a litle mod

so the second speaker is pointing directly into the seat?
nup its a bit before it, as ive got the suede recaro imitation seats which are thinner than the stock ones, so there is room :)

if you check out the tutorials on the caraudioaustralia website, you could make some awesome fibreglass pods for those, maybe work it into the stock trim if possible too. nice for a start though!

Hmm.......I dunno man.....So you have 2 pairs of speakers as it is, and you plan to put more in?
I would definatly make some angled pods for them (time consuming but worth it) becuase as they are the sound is going no where near your ears
dunno about the 67 other pairs of speakers going in.....i mean i would have to hear it for myself.....and boy o boy are you going to have a fun time finding amps to power them all!!!
I dunno im a bit 50/50 on it
