hey i got a major problem i connected a neon 2 the boot but i wanted another 2 so i tried 2 do it at night and couldnt strip the wires. and electrocuted myself and ended up cutting it back and was gonna start again. but ive connected them back up and now my cd player dont work and the neons are no go either i have a pic of what i connected and what wires etc. can anyone please help (its not a blow fuse i dont think i checked the fuse 4 the cd playa and its fine) hav i rooted it up?

Does sound like a blown fuse, check in your little panel under your dash, then check the fuses in the engine bay, you could have blown one of those some how....

Edit: Either that or you have created a short, which should have blown a fuse.

Edit2: Either that or you connected the negative to the positive wire on the neons, unknown result.

As soon as we see how u have connected it up and what they are connected to im sure we can help.

EDIT: it looks like u have connected them to ur boot light... is this correct? In that case i think think the boot light is linked with interior light fuse..... check it...

i just uploaded the pic its a bit cramped but its connected right like the colours and stuff i think.

Unplug the neons and see if the CD player works, also, you didn't run the battery flat did you?

no the battery isnt flat. because i drove the car. um...i just checked the pedals which a mate did and he wired the 2 the cd player and the work fine? its so confusing
and no the cd doesnt work with the neons disconnected

i got the cd player back. but still cant get the neons 2 be on! it was a blown fuse but not one that u would check 4 cd playa or lights it was sum weird one i had 2 pull ever one out 2 find the one! but thanks guys the cd player is back in business now just 2 hook up the neons :doubt: ill keep tryin any advise u have on this one will also b muchly appreciated!

You may have blown the neons circuits when the fuse went. Easiest way to test if they are stuffed is to d/c from where they are now and hook the power wire to the red terminal on your battery and the ground wire to the black terminal. If it doesn't light up, say bye bye to neon.

yeah then take it back from wehre you got it and try to claim it was at fault when you bought it.
