First time i've done it and it wasn't terribly difficult - just time consuming.
Big thanks to the fiance too, she was a great help

Did you just install new springs/struts or did you lower it at the same time?

That looks like its on suepr lows in the front and lows in the rear....Am i right?
Judging from those pics, You need
1) a cut and polish :)
2) something to cover them grey bumpers lol
How long did it take ya?
Took me and a mate a little over 6 hours..
2nd Gen Reprazent! When ya getting some rims
Super low fronts, haven't touched the rears yet. New KYB shocks and Lovell springs. It took us three and a bit hours just for the fronts, not too bad for first timers!
Come and cut and polish my car then biatch!

your way too far away lol....if you were in NSW i would of said mk lol...
The rears i reckon will take half of that, just 2 bolts at the top, one down the bottom....Piece of Pi$$!
Did anyone's groan like a ***** when they were first installed? Steering also seemed to pull to one side, reckon its just alignment?

after lower your car it is recommended to get a wheel alignment done asap new ride height pushes out the camber

Nope mine didnt....did you check that the springs had been turned so that the end of the coil sat in the recess of the strut? if you know what i mean:S
Thats the only thing i nearly stuffed up on (picked up by teh teacher) but other then that im not to sure what could be causing it

No way they are superlows, are they?! They don't look that much lower than my 2nd gen with stock suspension and 16's rims.
Looks like your fiance is doing all the hard work :D

I spotted a coke can in the third photo, hehehe, what is it with coke and working on cars, everytime I work on cars I have coke.lol
Anyways your missus is doing a good job.
As regards your car pulling to the side, that does'nt sound right, I think you've misaligned the top plate on one of the strut towers. The one with the three bolt heads, these only go one way back in. Just check it to be sure.

Do you mean they only FIT back in one way or they should be aligned only one way. if so which way is the right way!!??!
Well the rear's got done today. Were easier, only took a couple hours. Added some pics.
Second last is my trusty (well no longer trusty) breaker bar. i am hulk.
Last one is it done - it doesn't look that low really but i know it IS lower.

Does anyone's car hit the stops really easily now they have superlow fronts? Its quite annoying and making me think of going to lows on the front - after all i don't want to be driving around trying to dodge the slightest of a low or bump because i'm going to be bouncing off the bumpstops all the time. on brand new KYB's too so I was hoping my suspension would be rock hard but instead its rather soft.

I love your grease monkey fiance.
Top Effort.
Well i unfortunatley took my car to pedders today because i don't have the time to nut out the suspension problem and as someone said before, it was the strut top i had misaligned. pissed off. but they also put in a bumpstop which is good because my old ones were not even there. the backs were fine but the fronts were gone so sometime i have to get around to putting a front right in and i must say after coming back from pedders it does ride a lot better. They also gave me a $900 quote on what has to be fixed. Most of it is bushes, my camber is apparently up that lovely creek without a paddle and the lower steering rack bushes need replacing too so i guess i'll be going to poly bushes sooner than i was planning - damn. but atleast it was a written quote so now i can just take it to everywhere else i can find in brisbane and try and get someone to better it.
the fiance is fantastic - even though she hates cars and 'car talk' she humours me so much to the extent of actually helping me. One in a million.

I would defenitaly get a second look at that pedders are know to over price and quote stuff as urgent that is still good.

word; you didnt go to pedders enoggera did you??
Your bushes are most likely non urgent, and im pretty sure they have the most ridiculous prices ever... heard many stories of scaring ppl into spending huge cash, ie when i needed 600$ of work done they wanted that for the springs alone...
Pedders can go get rooted
Nah Pedders Geebung. I spoke to a guy that services and does RWC'S on our cars that come through work and she said he'd have no problem beating their price. The bit that I want to get checked out is the steering rack end which they rekon is rooted.
It's the only thing i'd class as urgent. That and my boots. I need CV boots.. lots and lots of CV boots.
Is there any manufacturer who makes decent wearing CV boots? 'cause all my boots are rooted in 6 months. Any one?
Keen as for a colour code and rims but i can see that being years away :(
