Theres heeps of AMC people who have done the conversion.
A 5 speed Verada, that would be pretty cool!!!

I believe there is an issue with Auto axles fitting into Manual boxes. Something about one is slightly shorter than the other.
Search under "Manual conversion" for all your answers. :D

If you got the parts from a wrecker it shouldn't cost you more than $1500 for everything needed to do the conversion.
Then just find someone who will do the labour.

I convertered my te to a manual yesterday. All the parts will basically fit in fairly easy. We did it all in a day with only a few minor dramas but that was because we swapped the ecu aswell.

oh ok. sweet as. how much was it all up? i am really keen but i'm not that keen i'd throw heaps of money at it. any differences in the verada set up? be pretty much the same i'd imagine.

my conversion was pretty expensive, but mainly due to the lack of parts available at the time (stuff was stripped out of a TJ VRX, so they charged more ) and the fact that i did the LSD and ECU, BCM and loom etc all at the same time, which were all brand new (other people have done without these since)
many others have since done a basic conversion for around the $2000 mark, with little to no hassles.
oh yeah, mine is still driving fine, excluding the LSD which is a completely different story!

I did mine for 1100. We had my car and the donar car sitting in the garage and just swapped all the necessary parts over.

since talking bout manuals does it matter if you have a 3L box in a 3.5?
i know of a few ppl with 3L box in 3.5L and to me it dosnt feel that right or smooth to a 3.5L box in a 3.5L car or 3L box in a 3L car
